What is Electrolysis hair removal?

Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method to remove your unwanted hair!

A disposable probe is inserted into the hair follicle; heat or a chemical reaction is produced when the treatment begins. The result: the structure and cells responsible for your hair growth is destroyed. The hair is then removed with a tweezer in a swift motion.

What areas can be treated with electrolysis?

Every body area can be treated with electrolysis except for the inside of the ears and the nostrils.

Yes! Electrolysis can get rid of those hairs forever.

As an electrologist, we can't diagnose, but we often suggest whether we think you have a severe hormonal disorder in need of medical treatment after providing a questionnaire. We may recommend that you seek further counsel from your primary care doctor or an endocrinologist before we begin your treatment plan.

How painful is electrolysis?

When receiving electrolysis treatments, the sensation is often described as a slight stinging sensation per hair follicle. The intensity of the treatment would depend on your tolerance, hair texture, skin reaction, etc.

How long does electrolysis take to remove hair permanently?

How often will I have to come in for treatments?

Electrolysis requires multiple treatments that vary for everyone. After evaluating the area & the                                              submission, a recommended schedule is given. Frequency can stem from weekly/biweekly/monthly treatments for several months to a year until the hair growth has slowed down enough to decrease treatment frequency even more.

Electrolysis treatments vary among body areas and are susceptible to change based on different factors. Factors such as genetics, hormone levels, adhering to the recommending treatment schedule, etc. The consultation is the key element where a thorough intake is conducted to determine if you're an immediate candidate. An approximal evaluation of treatment time is then given, but it is not a formal commitment.
