Girls Just wanna have sun?

It's summertime, and the sun is shining a bit brighter; you may see a bit clearer; you notice a couple of hairs you've never noticed before. You consider Electrolysis hair removal but quickly think, "I can't get it done because it's summertime." Think again; you can receive Electrolysis treatments in the summertime, all year round, in fact!

The sun

The sun, the center of the solar system, grants us our sunny days, vitamin D, days at the beach, tanning capabilities, etc.; still, it can adversely affect our skin's health condition, from premature skin aging to skin cancer. This is caused by the ultraviolet rays produced by the sun.

Sunscreen

As an everyday necessity, especially while undergoing Electrolysis treatments, sunscreen must be applied liberally to the area if it is exposed to sunlight. Sunscreen works as a shield, guarding your skin against the sun's UV rays. After an Electrolysis session, your skin will visibly be irritated, represented by the redness and inflammation that will be present. If there is no layer of protection or sunscreen, the UV rays from the sun can worsen the reaction & increase the risk of hyperpigmentation.

Cloudy, rainy & colder days are no exception! Sunscreen should still be applied because no matter what day, season, or year the sun will always be present!

REVEAL BK ELECTROLYSIS

After an Electrolysis session is done during the day at REVEAL BK, a natural mineral-based sunscreen with an SPF of 30 is applied. In addition to protecting the skin from the sun, it also assists with calming the skin after treatment. It contains ingredients such as zinc, aloe, vitamin E, etc.

Wearing sunscreen is imperative to your skin's health. Regardless of race, age, or gender, it is a daily necessity that should be in your skincare routine. Ultimately, if sunscreen was not a part of your daily regimen, with or without receiving Electrolysis treatments, include it as soon as possible!
